There's a saying in Bengali, "নিজের ঢোল নিজেকেই পেটাতে হয়, নয়ত অন্যকে দিলে তা ফাটায়ে ফেলবে", which means, "You have to play your drum, otherwise others might break it by beating carelessly if given to them.
Which is a metaphorical statement, indicating you have to spread your inner qualities on your own.
Today, I met with my soul friend, Saddam Hossain. After nearly 3 years later. He cycled to my metropolis by riding 21 KM straight just to hang out with me.
Why is he a soul pal? He is a kinda ditto version of me. In all, he and I have the most common traits in us. Both morally and in terms of quality. We both were a student of business studies, but our activities are different in consideration of our study backgrounds. (lol)
We are more enthusiastic about computers, so much that we both learned graphic designing, animation, motion graphics, web programming, photography, and so on. Saddam already established his career in these areas and I am just waiting for the opportunity.
We both studied at the same university. But because of some situations, he had to leave that institute in the middle and got admitted to another one. It's been since that day, we haven't met, till today. (Enough Intro I guess )
We chatted for some hours, had our lunch together, and shared our stories about the time of these gap years. Talked a bit about our careers, goals, values, etc. Honestly, I feel jealous that he persuaded his dream I am still sitting in my home, watching random videos on youtube. This needs to be repaired.
At the horizon of the day, We left for our home. I returned to my dream world, my room, on the bed, thinking I might start, just like him. And he went to his own, persuading his dreams. The guys of 21KM left finally.
So long buddy, till next time, Insha Allah.
Have an incredible journey ahead. But, I will also get in line very soon. Just like you.
Hopefully.
